About Londa Hayden
Londa Hayden is a native Texan, who attended East Texas Baptist University and pursued a major in music. Using her skills in music therapy both in public and private schools, she worked with special needs children of all ages. Her talent carried over into children's worship ministry. After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, she worked part-time in the medical field. Besides writing, Londa enjoys arts, crafts, theater, movies and volunteer work. She's contributed to newsletters, organized workshops, and retreats as the founding president of Bartlett Christian Writers. As a columnist for The Examiner, Londa interviewed local authors and wrote advice corners from Christian publishing leaders and as a contributing staff writer for Southern Writers Magazine. She has published work in Devo, an Upper Room devotional magazine for teens. Additionally, she published "Date Pray Wait" along with several anthologies. Her story "Popcorn Boy" won the Blog2inspire contest. She offers free ebooks to writers titled "The Writer's Anointing" and "Focus Your Writing." Londa wrote a Christmas Children's book series: "Candy Moon" and "Candy Moon Choo Choo." Her first novel, "Where Two Rivers Meet" won a Fraser Award. The second edition version retitled the Washington's Woods series: "Jasmine in Bloom" and "Elizabeth's Cross" garnered First and Second place BookFest Awards and a Christian Indie Awards. Her most recent children's book "The House Wisdom Built" released March 2025 is the recipient of the Literary Global Children's Book Awards and Christian Indie Awards. Londa lives in beautiful East Tennessee along with her beloved husband, two dogs, and one cat. Today, she enjoys spending time with her three sons and grandchildren, studying the Bible, RVing, and staying healthy while living her best life in her golden years.
