Do you have a preferred genre you enjoy writing in more than another or does it really matter? It's really interesting to note all the different types of writers in different genres. How does one plug into a certain genre? What draws us to write in a certain way instead another?
What's your genre? I am often asked this question. I am mainly a young adult writer, but I also write for children. However, lately I've been finding myself musing in the adult romance genre. I suppose I'm still working on finding my nitch in genre. I guess the best way to figure it out is to just do it and see where it takes me. I have discovered that I love doing interviews with other writers and illustrators, but that's more in the line of journalism. I enjoy getting to know other people who share the same passions for writing and expressing their creativity. It stirs me and keeps me active in sharpening my own skills.
